So Linux is taking the lead :)
From my point of view Windows are better for starting mining on your PC with 1 GPU (1st step for non-linux average PC users to enter mining world).
However when you are building a rig dedicated to mining, then headless Linux from USB stick is choice No.1

Looks like you are not connected to the p2pool network. You are running an isolated node so only you are mining on it. You need to add the following to the end of your startup…

That’s my p2pool node. With that, your node will discover extra peers and will join your node to the rest of the network. It will bring your variance down too.

Step 3、Install mingw-get-setup.exe，Choose Install GCC 。

Step 4、Set Environment Variables : Path 。
C:\Python27\;C:\MinGW\;C:\MinGW\bin;

Step 5、DownLoad p2pool-altcoins-master.zip，Decompression to C:\Python27\。
cd C:\Python27\p2pool-altcoins-master
cd litecoin_scrypt
C:\Python27\python.exe setup.py build --compile=mingw32 install

If you run into an error with unrecognized command line option ‘-mno-cygwin’, C:\Python27\Lib\distutils\cygwinccompiler.py in your Python directory to remove all instances of -mno-cygwin

Step 6、Start feathercoin-qt.exe

I know the location of the pool does not matter, But I like to keep things “at home” per say, So I will take a look at yours.

All the rigs are down at the mo, Some gpu’s are gone, some just need new fans and a clean, So I will be doing this over the weekend, Seeing what I have left then I will be firing them up.

I’m not going to replace my downvolted HD5970 cards any time soon. In fact, I’m going to add more of them. 700KH/s @ 300W while far not every HD7970 can do that much. Even if it does, the power consumption is higher and reliability is lower.

That might be the reason.
During night the air is cooler, meaning the gpu core gets cooler with cooler air, the fans goes down in speed.
BUUUUUT your VRM´s are still smoking hot from the power usage.

Maybe try to run cgminer with locked fan speed of 85%?

200kH/s from the GT210??? That doesn’t sound right to me. I would very be surprised if you got more than 30kH/s with that.

Guess it all depends what you want to do with them.
I’m in doubt AMD will release a “big die” card, we would have heard some sort of rumor, I think AMD is focusing on market share right now.
I’m all for a “big die” gpu, don’t get me wrong, it just isn’t how they do things.

Rumors are HD 9970/R9 D970, w.e they are going to call it will be on par with Titan, then more increase in performance with software tweaks.
Last summer they stated they were focusing on performance through drivers, that is why we didnt see a traditional yearly new gpu release.
I’m willing to bet some FTC they are going to stick with that route.

What are your settings? Look at mine up above, I have the MSI running at 670-675 with those.

Intensity: 20
Work size: 256

Averaging 688-692 now (yes, average). The peaks are into the 700’s. Temp is 77 in a large warm room.
