increasing intensity will yield in higher reject rate if you allready are
pushing the card. at least thats my experience

main memory size is overrated. im running 2gb on my 4x7970 rig. no difference at all from

seems that initdramfs gets thrown around alot if theres some kind of hw error. people have experienced it if the usb ports have had to high voltage and so on…
Been stable since i change the memory so everything seems good=)

ive had a similar problem with complaining about libc.so.0 missing.
which made the cgminer not wanting to start

just created a link from with: sudo ln libc.so.1 libc.so.0
and everything worked like a charm.

run feathercoin client with the option --server (not sure if this is still needed, but i do it just to be safe)
Strange port your using.
I normally use 9337 (standard port for ftc). also make sure that the port you use do not collide with other apps, and that the router has forwardered the port to that specific machine.
do a online port scan to check.

EDIT:
The port forward thingy do not apply if your just mining from the local computer where you run the program.

ALSO if you look closely you have written rcpallowip it should be rpcallowip… might that be it?

It looks like you aren’t using a startup batch file for CGMiner.

You need to create a file in the cgminer folder. Call it ftc.bat (or anything you like as long as it ends “.bat” and put the following in it from my previous post.

I don’t want to discourage you, but the electricity cost and wear on your machine just isn’t worth it for the returns you would get. Your machine is fine for an every day usable computer, but for mining it’s just not a good choice.

I figured that’s what it was. The guy that’s hosting my miner kept telling me that I “changed some settings” and now he can’t fix it because I broke it when I changed pools a couple days ago.

I read that this has been an issue for far longer than BTC has even been around (I found threads dating back to 2007 with people complaining about the same issues) but he was adamant that I broke it because it “has never happened before” and he throws around the fact that he runs over 20 rigs to justify why his word is factual.

Sadly, I don’t have physical access to the machine so I can’t even force him to give something like this a try because he doesn’t believe that it’s not me that broke it.

Some how missed this thread…

Even if it was somehow possible, All that would happen is that the big hashers would rock up and instead of using their rigs at full bore, they’d simply dice them into lots of little miners. Bottom line is if you want to mine lots of coins you need lot’s of rigs.
